4.5k air system us/uk

i have just brought 2x 114ci 4.5k air systems with adj nitro duck out puts these things were a bargin new from the factory. (as they dont make them any more!)
but a mate of mine to me i cant use them in the uk?
is this the case?..........
if so do you know y?...........
i brought them for my bushy (i think they were a good investment?!?!)
They are all ready on there way over now via ups! ahhw!

You can only use them in this country if you are non-resident cos they are stamped with a DOT stamp (american safety standard) there have been many threads regarding this before.

The rules (laws actually) are simple

DOT in this country (UK) can't be used
HSE in this country (UK) CAN be used

The above doesn't apply if you are a tourist or serviceman/woman just visiting this country.

And just so this doesn't get into a long drawn out thread I suggest you do a search on the home page (of the forum) to find the previous threads, you could search from my name in the profiles section but as it was a while ago it may take you some time cos I have made just one or two posts since lol.
