3D Paintball character?

Hello,

Does anyone have, or know anyone who might have, or even be or know of someone who might be able to make, a 3D mesh of a little tourney paintball dude? I'm trying to write a little game, and I need to create a set of prerendered animations of a 3D paintballer...

If not, then can anyone recommend a good, FREE 3D modelling program that I could use? I suppose another skill wouldn't hurt...

I recommend searching the web for a copy of 3d Studio Max.
you can get downloads for 30 day trials. If you dont want to make a character then you can import models of people from
[url]www.3dstudio.com [/url] but you will need max


Plus ive made a 3d race cocker i can send you if you want to import that into the person. This is then fully editable.
It all helps in my degree.

I did these in HL Model Viewer. Programs such as milk 3d etc may be helpful.

Thanks chaps! The 3dstudio site appers to be down at the moment.

My "extended" 30 day trial of 3DS Max seems to have stopped working, so I've got to work out how to make it work again...

SB - can those DPB models be used in 3DS Max? I'm interested in any paintball related modles you can send me!! (don't worry, I aint making any money out of this!!)

Wicked! Some nice models in there... just need to work out how the hell you use IK now... anyone think I might be biting off more than I chew??!!!

Another option I've got is to scan a real life baller and marker in using a 3D laser scanner... which me old man just so happens to have!! hoorah!

I actually took photos of all my kit (Shirt/cleats etc) and converted them, then stitched them onto the DPB frame. I am the king of shortcuts and bodging.

Pretty clever stuff! Did you do all that in Milk? or did you somehow suck the DPB player model into 3DS? If the latter - How do you do this???!!!
