3000psi and 4500psi tanks

Ok why do these two have such a massive price difference?
I have a 3000psi tank that i bought for about £60, but the 4500psi bigger tank that i want is like £160 , which is way out of my price range for a tank.
I'd rather just fill up more, than pay that.

a 4500PSI will hold another 50% more than a 3k if they are the same volume

ontop of this 3k tanks are generally steel meaning they need testing every three i think years and they way alot more.
4.5k tanks are carbon fibre on the other hand meaning they only need testing every five years and they weigh a lot less

can you pick up second hand tanks ?, and if so, at what price ?

i got mine in hte first half of this year, tested a month before the sale ( so 5 years left) for i think 80 or 90 in perfect condition

That is wrong. It is this for testing of bottles

THREE YEARS FOR FULL WRAPPED BOTTLES - HSE-AL-FW2 manufactured before July 2003 then five years after retesting for SCI and Luxfer cylinders

FIVE YEARS FOR HALF WARP BOTTLES

FIVE YEARS FOR ALUMINUM OR STEEL BOTTLES

A fibre wrapped tank is lighter for it's size, and will hold more air. It's not a necessity though, but most people end up buying one anyways, so it's probably best to look up a secondhand one...
