Players have asked for this date and the weekend after but it is to close to xmas to have it on the 20th.

Also the date has been known for a while.

All Six teams must be in attendance for this to happen and the same players must play this event as played the event they wont to get in to the final.

If you feel you can not make it or have to change a player then a full refund will be given for the round you played.

There is going to be 2 divs.

The first div will be the 6 tams that played to get into the final and will be playing for the first place prize of 3 etek markers.

The second div will be made up of any one who is wanting to play on the day and the first prize for that will be 3 full kits of eclipse Good's IE pants playing jersey, arm pads and gloves. this will only happen if 8 teams are in this div.

The reason for so many rules is that we have tried our hardest to make these events to be for new people to get in to the sport and all that has happened is we have been let down by players who have booked in and not turned up and spoilt it for every other player there.

Last sunday just made it clear to us that people let you down by 25 players booked in and 4 turning up.

We do not do this to make a profit we dont even break even on events like this is costs us more to run them, but we feel if we get new people playing then it would benefit the whole paintball scene not just us.

We were even in 2 minds weather to even have the event.

Adding on to what Markie's said, please, please, please book in and let us know that you're coming.

We have to buy the paint in advance, and it's not cheap. And then when people don't turn it up, we have to carry it all back up the hill and then store it for the next weekend.

It's not easy running the site, and we have all put in a lot of hours, early mornings, late nights and cold, rainy days to rebuild the site, from nothing.

If people want to be able to come down and play at the NQ, then events like this need to be supported, or they'll jsut end. It's as simple as that.

Like what Markie said, last weekend was a perfect example of a let-down.
Markie, myself and Damo all got up hours earlier so we could come down and get everything up, just to be let down and have around a fifth of the people booked in actually turn up.

Just like to say that I have been going to these events since they started back in June.

I was a total beginner back in June and on the first event got totally hammered by the other teams coming 7th.

Thanks to the guys from The Firm with the training/drills and help during games me and my team mates managed to win an event later in the year.

NQ is a great place to learn the skills needed to maybe one day compete in the UK Masters series.

The guys are a great bunch of lads and a good laugh is always had by all.

Please support the final because I would hate this to be the last newbie tourny at NQ.

Hi Markie,

What happens if one of the 6 teams can't make it? From what I understand from the post, if one player has to be changed, that team can't compete. If that team can't com pete, the final isn't on.

So what we need to do is get firm confirmation from all 18 players (unless the same team won more than once - don't know what you did in those circumstances) that they will turn up, otherwise the final is off?

Have I just misunderstood your post, or is it correct?

Cheers,
Ian - Fade2Gray

Right what we are going to do is this.

2 teams say they cant make it.

So we are going to have the finals in late January.

I need all the teams who made it to the final to get in touch with me and we can work on a date.

The date from the start has been the 13th of December so why teams have entered and then say they cant make it is beyond me.

I was just going to cancel the whole thing but i think it is fair to try and fit it in with every one.

But i am only going to reschedule it once then it is out of my hands.

Does this suit every one ?

Markie, we're easy either way - we weren't saying we were going to pull out, we just wanted to know the likelihood of it taking place.

Anyway, Fade2Gray can make any date in January, guaranteed. :D

Markie the first time i came down I wasnt aware of the final's date but that to be honest was by the by. The point of us coming down was to have a good day learning and balling which was had and we came down the second time for exactly the same reason. I can say now we can play in January but come nearer the time circumstances/priorities change, not just for us but the other teams aswell, dont take it personally or the wrong way, we all want to play the final. IMO, somethings in life come before paintball but I have just become a dad again for the second time today, wahoo, which is why I say that but January is SOOOO much better for me x x x Just means you'll have to wait a bit longer for my speacial medicine.
