2k2 timmy poppet question

iv got a 2k2 timmy and have 2 grese the poppet alot to keep it working right, if i dont the gun starts 2 cycle but not fire after a case and a half of paint, is there any mods that i can do so i dont need 2 grease it at all ??? my poppet and ram sleave are from a clasic timmy could they just be old and needing replaced ? oh and what would happen if i just taken the o ring of the poppet? taken the drag away so no need 2 grese would any air from the hpr squeese through and do any damage ???

Well the manual recommends greasing the poppet every 2000 to 3000 rounds so that sound s about right. Although you can normally get a few more shots than that.
Have you tried changing the o ring and poppet seal, also the spring may be worn. You can pick up service kits for these fairly cheaply. I'd try that first.
