09 Software

I have just been talking about this with someone and just wondered if anyone could shed some light...

I Just had my egos flashed to the 09 software with the ROF cap @ 10bps, the rules state 10.5, when i had it flashed previously to 12 for MS08 it capped at exactly the 12 (i know Nicky T posted up to cap them at 11.8 not 12 just incase), just wondered why the 09 software caps at 10 not the 10.5 or 10.3?

Well I set all mine to 10, but maybe it's a safety measure. To prevent your team from loosing points in penalty...

I would have said the same however the 08 software capped it at bang on 12 and every ROF meter i have used shows bang on 12?

I don't know then, I don't think it makes that big of a difference between 10 and 10.5.. It's still slow as hell!!

No idea now, i got mine done for free at the masters last month thanks to eclipse / currupt, the first time it was flashed it was £10 for the return postage, they were charging £20 to have a 07 / SL74 flashed at the masters, i am sure if you ring them Stoney will help you out

Because not all cronos/shoot counters are right.

So its for the players so he/she doesn't get caught out by dodgy cronos.

Surely tho if you showed a ref the ego screen they would be happy with that? A 1k marker against a 50 / 100 quid machine, i know which i would believe

Refs are very anal about the rules

i know if our marker says 10.1 on the display the markers will shoot 10.1 but there Radar chronos are a bit funny some are spot on some are way off

(echo's, low battery etc etc)

you just need to get on the field early to test what your marker shoots to avoid any penaltys

Example i was in germany this weekend, rules are 10.5 i set mine on 10.2 just to be safe and on there chrono it said 10.7 i then turned mine down to 10.0 and there chrono said 9.9

you just cant win sometimes
