Apart from the physical differences of the integrated rail and star trigger, larger trigger guard and snatch grip does the 06 board offer any software or performance improvements?

if so what are they? i would like to spend some money on an upgrade for the already superb 05 ego, but i can't decide whether or not to go for a nice anno job or buy an 06 frame.

thoughts?

If you are simply wondering if you should get the frame or an anno, go with the frame.

The frame makes it much easier to set up the trigger settings well, and a well set up ego is hard to find no matter what people say.

The anno may look pimp, but that wont help your play, if anything it will hinder it as you wont want to damage the anno an so play more cautiously. Whereas the frame will enable a more constant and possibly higher ROF making you play better, simple!

there was someone on here not so long ago selling a nexus frame, however it was more a question of the benefits of a new 06 board which won't fit the 05 frame.

anno was only giong to be a bit of a treat to myself anyway!

not terribly worried about losing the rail on the standard frame, although the star trigger and larger finger guard would be useful.

ok guys cheers for that.

i thought only difference between the 05 and 06 board is the positioning of the optical switch ... so the 05 boards wont fit because the bit where the trigger goes into the frame to activate the switch is in a different location?

The only real differences i have spotted on the planet site;

- "5 Debounce settings as standard."
- "Improved breech sensor logic enabling Ego 6 to react even faster to paintballs entering the breech."
