05 lcd vanishing

i have lost a third of my lcd at the bottom and its slowly making its way up.
I have looked at the 08 thread and see there under warranty. Obviously mine is well out of warranty.
What would be my best bet to get a fully working display?

new 05 board from planet (about £60-£70 last time i checked), or buy a star frame comes with 06 board (£110ish i think), or aftermarket board.
