it should just be the battery fault the marker is generally in tip top condition but can't get a charge on it to turn it on BUT IT HAS NOT BEEN GASSED IN A YEAR SO O-RINGS MAY NED LOOKIN AT, sorry need to point out the obvious with any marker thats been stood a while, £40 delivered to you.
