it should have been in 2003, but it did eventually in 2005.

anyway. back to the original I do kind of agree that its pushing it to the max now and the changes arent reallty drastic performance upgrades.
Hence, when I was no longer tied to shooting a new gun each year, I went back to the cheapest "decent" gun I could, a shocker for about £120, just to train with.
Ive recently decided to pick up playing more often again after about 9 mths, and have chosen to get an older EGO, mainly because of a bit of brand loyalty, ready availabilty of spares, and because I feel comfortably knowing the gun insiade out (besides any new software rules I spose).
I think this thread is a bit of an attack on the EGO, but tbh planet eclipse have a business to run and are very popular right now, so its no suprise they are playing to their strengths and to demand.
If the original SL wasnt a hit, and people didnt want the newest shiny, im sure the concept wouldnt have hit on. As it stands, the people who like Eclipse actually look forward to each world cup release and actively want to persue ownership of the gun.
I dont see that as a bad thing - noone is forcing anyone.
FWIW the best value second hand gun right now pains me to say cos I just never really got on with them is an Angel (the A1 of course) most people know that if they take a step back and consider it for a moment, however, its is the "sheep mentality" as some people call it that makes the EGO more popular. The EGO has rightly earned it place I would say as a respected marker because you need not look after it and it will perform 100% week on week, very good service and attendance at events, and a UK based company for sourcing spares.
