Happy (belated) Birthday, paintball!

Paintball was 29 years old yesterday, according to the Facebook Group "World Paintball Day".

First Look: Intimidator G6R

Bob Long’s crazy engineers are at it again. ProPaintball.com insiders give you the first look at the newest Intimidator, the G6R. Read on for our in depth analysis.

New Bob Long G6R
While the Intimidator line has been dead for some time (Bob dropped the name with his fifth generation of markers, the Protege and Vice), our friends in Northern California dropped this one off in our inbox. With no description along with the photo, we set our ProPaintball.com insider engineering team to work–figuring out exactly what’s hot about this new model.

Two piece, vertically split marker body. Our design team has highlighted the attachment point, which might go unnoticed by the untrained eye. We’ve highlighted the screw in green, and the parting line in red.
Reduce profile, vertical and horizontal. Looks to be pretty light.
Vertically mounted solenoid. While certainly shaving some height off of the last model, this is sure to anger the owners of the last generation Tadao and other boards, because they won’t fit in this frame. Also, what’s with the dead space next to the battery, Bob?
There’s something to be said about the frame attachment–to remove the frame it looks like we’ll need to remove the bolt, ram cap, and ram, and then drop an Allen wrench down through the ram slot to undo it.
All new molded grips. Alas, no more naked women or dollar sign plastic grips–these ones are unique to the G6R. We hear it’s similar to the Dye NT, but with screws.
A non-midget regulatorforegrip. Rejoice!
