Geo Air usage

Quick question about air usage.

Yesterday at the Super5ives I was finding I was out of air after one 200 ball hopper and 3 Dye Locklids (about 150 - 160 balls each) for a total of 650 to 680 balls on a 3K fill.

Now Im pretty sure I should be getting better air usage than that out of my Geo so Im wondering what should I be looking for as a cause of using my air so fast.

did find the geo is a lot more hungry than the ego!!! have you set the geo up for efficancy? if you go on the nation, nicky did a big set up post!!

basically you wind in the vvc screw, chrono, then slowly drop the dwell, chrono as you go, when you notice it drop off, then stop, up the dwell one notch! should be about as efficient as it can get!

you might notice a little more kick this way but its minimal in my eye!!

the major thing i found with the geo was how important barrel matching ya paint is!! made a 20-25 fps difference, so that has to effect things too!!

what size bottle were you using ?

Those figures sounds about right for a 0.7/0.8L

Thats exactly what i was getting with mine mate with a 1.1hp, the vvc wound all the way in with dwell set stock at 12.5, dont forget with a 4.5k fill you'll get 5/6 pots and a hopper. Plus the cold doesnt help. im gonna do the dwell set up on the nation to see if this improves it!

cheesecake is right if the weather was better you would probably get about 800 shots in total

My bottle is a 4500 68CI LP Draxxus bottle

One thing that was suggested to me was that there may be moisture in the compressor due to a faulty moisture trap on it as apparently quite a few people were finding they were running out air over the weekend. And it did chuck it down with rain all night before the event.

I'll check on the tweaks though thanks

Yeah sorry I should have explained better. Its a 4.5k bottle but we can only get up to a 3k fill at Ambush Southampton where the Super5ives are held.

i think you have answered your own question there

its cos you had 3k in your bottle, obviously if your bottle was full you would get more shots.

lol I know that, but running out after essentially 3 pots isn't normal. On a 3k fill Im able to go one hopper and 5 pots and still have air left. Im guessing its a fill issue with the equipment, rather than the Geo or air bottle as others have had similar problems it seems.
