I know its normal to get bolt rub if the mini has been used alot etc but is it normal for the bolt to rub after just one days paintball.

Was clean it down after a day of balling. Just under two boxes shot and noticed a slight mark. It def was not there when i put the bolt in yesturday.

The spring its it a tight fit or does it just ment to slide on easy. I know it only should go on one way but if i give it a very slight bit of force it goes on or the otherway it just slides on.

Not to sure if the spring was put on the wrong way to start of something. Didnt affected the way the gun was firing though

Can provide Pic will do when i can find my camera

Just looking for ideas

Thanks Guys

Rich

I have read up that minor scratches to the bolt wont affect performance, if the bolt 0 rings are damaged there may be more serious issuse.

but im sure bolter will clear thing up when he comes across this thread.

My mini did the same I think you'll find that as long as the spring goes on with a positive click and it is only 'a slight mark' you are seeing, all will be well. I have shot mine all season and it is still on top form. They just need lots of care and attention. With mine I clean it if I get one barrel break as the eyes are a bugger if they get dirt in them as you have to strip it down to get to them. If I get no breaks i clean it every other use. When i say clean i mean strip down re-lube (lightly). If you haven't got it already tadao board is worth a look as it it operates the eyes much better than the standard board which was shown to me by a Kee tech. Also nail polish on the eye supports stops corrosion there which is a common problem. Lastly The ruthless paintball triggers are the mutts nuts! Bit longer than i intended hope it helps you out!

Sure if you take the eye board out and look at the eyes there are 2 metal prongs supporting each eye. They are prone to corrosion and can mess with the eye functional ability if this happens. Just coat the two prongs below each eye on each side with a 'light' coating of nail polish to stop this. Obviously make sure they are spotless before you do it and don't get any on the eyes themselves or on the board. I had to get an eye board replaced because they had the tiniest speck of rust in the world on them (needed a magnifying glass to see it!). The kee tech said its a really common problem, replaced the board with one that he painted the prongs as discribed on, never had the problem since.

Well its maybe not that common as this is the first Ive heard of this. And we have KEE's main tech play for us, and Sosta (KEE Europe Chief) owns the team.

But, if it works, its a great idea!

Thinking about it, the old boards used to fry in severe rain/wetness, and I think to fix that, they started coating the boards as per what other manufacturers have been doing.

If you had one of the older type boards, and you played in a thunder storm, then maybe you're right :)

Rich, the spring goes on one way. If you put it on the other way, expect

a) your gun not to work so good
b) heavy gouges on the bolt

a little wear is fine. One small tiny piece of grit/mud/deer in there will cause scratching. If however it does mess the gun up, talk to me, I'll try sort it.
