Hi Guys,

I know that the Evil Pimp Kit is an old marker; Heres a test of memory! Can anyone remember how to program the original board in it?

Have found WAS and Ghetto board (as well as the complete marker ) instructions. It is the stock board with Rev 2 on the back side of the board I am interested in - am sure it is the original stock before it was upgraded to the Ghetto 7.0 ...

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

I'm away at the moment but when I get home over the weekend I'll have a good dig, I bought Pimp 002 many years ago and with it came a manual. There is a very slight chance that I still have it in the bottom of some draw somewhere. If I do I'll scan the settings and post up.

OK, so I found the manual that came with my pimp all those years ago, but sad to say it is exactly the same as the PDF download above. I'm happy to send you a scan of the board settings but it also talks about the Ghetto. In fact its not even a manual, it was just a printout that was included in the box. Like I said, mine was the second one off the production line, so are you sure there is an earlier board ?

Anyway, sorry I couldn't help further.

Yeah. Pretty sure. The Ghetto board is a version 7.0 board. Have had the board out and it certainly states version 2 on the rear. Have read about it somewhere or another.

I know the pimp you sold to me has a was board in it. Don't suppose you have the board you replaced hanging about anywhere do you?

Thanks for your time and effort.

aaahhhh... Hadn't joined the dots there... didn't realise whos thread this was. Anyway.

The Blue PIMP was a much later Pimp, my original black pimp (002) went down and the guys at PMI decided to swap it rather than repair it which is why I ended up with the newer one.

I was thinking about the original board when looking for the manual, I don't know what's happened to it but I'll have another dig around, I seldom throw that kind of stuff away. If I find it I'll happily post it over.

Found the original board and I found a replacement trigger switch from WAS, apparently better than the stock switch but I never got round to fitting it.

All the stock board says is: "PMI Electronic Trigger Rev.2, Sept, 9, 2003". Doesn't say anything about Ghetto, so assume it's much the same as the one you have. I'll post it over anyway with the switch, maybe it'll help.

The memory test part...

I remember using the printout (manual) that came with my original pimp to adjust settings. I'm wondering if the Ghetto in the manual is simply the early version of the board. I seem to think the Ghetto 7 had a bigger list of features than the original board (PSP Ramp I think), the original is a semi-only board. I think the settings in the manual are correct for the board I've just posted over to you, same as the one you have by the sounds of it.

I bought the WAS instead of the Ghetto 7 when I wanted to upgrade.

PoPs,

Again PoPs, appreciate all the help being provided. Will have a look at the board when it arrives. Please let me know what I owe for the postage / board.

Cheers.
