im looking for somewhere to get some fittings and some good lengths of macro for various projects, but dont seem able to find much without taking out yet another mortgage! is there anywhere that sells these in multiples for a discounted price?;) my lever rifle project has so far cost all of £15 and some time. would be a shame to spend almost twice that again to air the thing up.

and yes i know i'm tight fisted!:D

My advice spend money. give the boys at Lips a bell http://www.lpspaintball.biz/

The macro line and fittings wont break the bank from them but more importantly are designed for the pressures your talking about within a paintball marker.

I know of guys who have bought "stuff" off ebay and then had it "blow off" or burst during use as the cheap stuff bought wasnt designed for the pressure.

If you get it wrong, best case it annoys the hell out of you at a tourney or walk on day if you dont have spares when it pops, worse case you seriously injure yourself or worst somone else as a fitting goes pinging off and cracks someone in the eye (this has happended in UK paintball) resulting in blindness or something.

Sorry to get heavy on this dude but 3000 or 4000 psi isnt something you mess about with.

Give John or Chris a bell at LIPS, they will look after you.

surely were talking about around 800 psi on the marker itself- not the 3000 in the bottle? either way,i appreciate the advice mate. to be honest i assumed all these fittings were rated for the same pressure. but as the saying goes - ''assumption is the mother of all f##kups!'':)

Or around 450 psi if you are running a LP bottle reg

Either way you'll not be putting anywhere near 3000+ psi into the marker

Sorry guys but what where saying here is that an air system can never ever go faulty? the point i am trying to make is that unless you deal with a reputable paintball company who actually know what specs are required you run the risk of buying something that just isnt set up for the pressures involved 450 or 800 psi, there are lots of 120psi rated industrial pnuematic hose that looks on face value to be identical to the macro line we all use.

There is macroline on the net that states its for LP air not to be used on systems putting out more than 450psi, whats stopping some numpty buying the same stuff bulk, throwing it on ebay cheap and forgetting to mention this little detail? Sum result some unsuspecting paintballer throws it on an air system putting out 900psi sum result?

The likes of warped, LIPS, planet, etc know what they are buying and as a rule with air fittings seem to ask questions about what your putting it on in my experience. For the sake of a few quid would you take the risk?

Sorry guys but seen things go wrong with air systems and these kind of pressures first hand, not pretty.

He does speak the truth. Parts are rated differently so if you do not know what you need to hunt down on fleebay you are better off posting in the wanted section or buying from a UK paintball shop.
