Why do people cheat?

If you never get caught or punished, in any sport and never tell anyone it's technically not cheating as no one knows!

Cheating is unfortunately a part of the game,,when i first started playing in the lower divisions i didnt notice it so much but as i climbed to the higher divisions i noticed that it was going on a lot.....so if you cant beat em join em,,,all-so losing a hit makes up for all the bad one for ones that get called.
paintball as a game is all-ways going to be hard to reff and players will take advantage of this.

its something that has grated on me on all the sports i play, i think you've all come up with some very valid points but i'm with buddha (no we arn't chilling at his house).

until england has a recognised level of reffing certificate we'll all do it just to either gain an advantage or keep up with the guys at the other end of the field who we feel are cheating.

i for one know when we play certain teams there are players in that team that have to be turned yellow before they call themselves out. on the flip side of the coin we know certain marshals will 1 4 1 you if you have a blatant hit and others will not.

better reffing makes you think twice about cheating.

They cheat because its a thrill of getting a way with it, and the drive to win, OR they are complete **** and cant play for peanuts, so they have to cheat. Yeah you know im talking about you, while your reading this post, your thinking to yourself now, im such a looser because i cheat, i cant help myself, but im not as good as olli yet, so i have to, maybe im just destined to be a ****er for ever. Yep you really will be, and when you get caught, and pulled 1 for one, you wont care, your will blame it on the other guy....

Cheating is part of the game.
From a rental players first time out, to high level tournaments.

People dont need to learn to cheat, nor are they forced into it by the fact that others are doing it.
It comes naturally based on the likelihood of getting away with it.



The issue has become a lot better since we came out of the woods.
Because its harder to get away with it on a concept field.
In the old days it was just a case of pop behind a bush and come up clean.


Dusty If your frustrated at that incident at campaign. Try going to a big rec game.
Cheating at big games is institutional.

I dont mean a bit of playing on a bit Im talking about wiping 20 hits in one game.
Ive seen it.

The above statement is very true. Over the years, i have seen players walk off the field or walked past a bunch of players bragging how well they got away with it, or even worst, they brag about how they just managed to get a 3 4 1 for there team
