it will have a born date, and will look like "2003/06" or something similar.

the bottle manufacturer would be something like Carleton, sci, luxfer.

ok, it's a carleton bottle made in December 2002 "12-CL-02"
these bottles may have to be tested every 3 years rather than every 5 years for sci and luxfer, so that means it's probably out of test. You could check with hpac tomorrow.

i thought i check because some people say its now 5 years because h-pac retested it but i will ring up h-pac cheers

in 2003 the rules regarding testing changed and some manufacturers had the 3 year test period extended to 5 years, but it looks like Carleton didn't get this 5 year rule on their bottles.

The test period is not affected by the testing station, it's set by the governing body.

the Heath & Safety Executive guidelines on those category of Aluminium fibre wraps was 3 yearly - which would put you out of date (retest as per HPAC sticker would've been 7th Feb this year....)

however, some bottles can be tested to pi standard at retest putting them on the 5 year cycle, rather than the 3.

as tom says, check with HPAC to find out if this was the case for your bottle.
