Ok this is a new one to me but i need to ask the question, i recieved another EGO09 today and as per normal my first test is off switching it on.

Well i did this at work and all seemed fine, now once i got home i as per normal set about what i always do with new arrivals , stripping them down for a full R/C ( R/C meaning an engineers term for recreational Clean ) Basically a full service.

Now i noticed when i switched the thing on upon its arrival that the battery was near depleted, with this in mind and the grips off and many other part laying around the ground around me, i decided to replace the battery with a new one..

To my total shock it wouldn't switch back on 15 new batteries later it decided to switch on, i thought yikes alot of dud batteries, so with that out came the 9V tester all batteries 100% ok.

Then i tried to switch it back on and again nothing, so at this point i decided to send stoney a pm asking if the board was fuber, alas on this night he has decided to be elsewhere when i need answers lol.

So i thought to hell with it, finish the R/C and put it back together, last but not least grips went on one side new battery in then finish putting the remaining three grips screws in and await stoney's reply..

To my shock horror the fecking thing switched on and off ok, open the grip up to set the board , yep you guessed it damn thing wouldn't switch back on..

So after my in depth full length detailed discription of this event, im guessing that the Bright Daylight has some effect on these boards when the grips are off ??

Cheers

Carl :D

Is it possible that the grips are forcing the battery onto the contacts? ie: When the grips are off, the batteries don't connect properly?

May be a stupid suggestion, but hey, I try.
No mate this isn't the cause , as i have tryed a little pressure myself and i have never had this problem before with my ice 09 .

I will let others tell you if that was a stupis suggestion or not :D

Cheers

I take it you have read the white sticker on the front of the ego manual about bright daylight and turning the ego on..
No white sticker there bud lol, its not new i got it from weedave from planet.. i guess its just a very sensitive board , i was actually under a swing cheer with shade..
