PC help

First - i hope this is ok here due to it being the weekend etc.

I've always been a big fan of the Dawn of War games, however it seems the new games is a little to advanced for my pc, so i would like help picking the following.

A new motherboard
Processor
Graphics card
Sound card
Ram


i've already got enough hard drive space and cd/dvd drives etc.

Start with your budget and work around that.

Remember...you only need supreme graphics power, if you want torun high frame rates at high resolution (like a 24 inch monitor)

well i currently use a 22 inch Lg monitor, and would like high frame rates.

Budget -

not sure to be honest (not kept my eye on current prices)
i'd like the following spec at least


* AMD Athlon 64×2 4400+ or any Intel Core 2 Duo
* 3+ GB RAM (XP and Vista)
* A 256MB Video Card (Shader Model 3) - NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GT / ATI X1900, or equivalent
so maybe a rough price for that?

and then a better spec price?

I will let you help him out dude...I haven't built a PC for a over a year and mine was pretty decent 6400 2.14 clocked to 3Ghz at the time!

the thing that gets me - i currently have a 3.06ghz processor, ( it a few years old) but the new ones only seem to be 4ghz tops?
