May is only 5 months away, and they can't even tell you if it's in England or Germany... That's just idiotic. If I were to run my business like that, I'd be decapitated.

Why does it matter? At some point, you'll find out, book your travel, and go. Or not.

The point he was making Chris, wasn't how it affected the mechanics of him going or not, he was suggesting (and quite rightfully so) that any responsible company being that unprepared for the following year's schedule and consequent inability to tell its customer base the correct dates/locations, seems incompetent and somewhat uncaring.

Not everybody in paintball has such a fluid calendar as yours, some parties, ya know, customers, players or whatever, have to plan their days off for work and holidays and a well prepared schedule is extremely important for them.

The difference between England and Germany is gonna be one or two days for the UK player and they need to know these things well in advance..end of!

Preach! ;)

Not only that, the earlier one is able to book flights, the cheaper it will be. Prices of flights on the low budget carriers can quadruple in a matter of days. So there is a huge monetary incentive for players to decide early on what events they will be attending and then book flights and hotels ASAP.

It just seems that for some reason, paintball as an industry (some exceptions) is unable to think further than short to mid term.

Jay, I'd probably adjust that a little, to 'paintball as an industry (some exceptions) is unable to think further than the present to short term'

I'd be amazed to see some of these guys thinking, or even planning for the mid term .....
