not great but you get the idea. Skeet do you mean heat up the metal bit with a heat gun or something?

Well, in order to get a good joint, you need the metal parts to be hot enough for the solder to flow.
The part that has come off is quite large and will take a lot of heat to get it ready.
If you put it on the board, then heat it, the board will melt by the time it's hot enough.
So, clean the old solder off of the board with a clean iron then melt a good drop of solder onto it.
Then clean the old solder off of the big bit, maybe melt some on it too, just a touch.
Then, hold the big bit with some pliers or something and put the iron on it to heat it up, till the solder pools on it.
Keep the heat on, then flip it over and press it down on the board, keeping the iron on it, the heat will melt the solder on the board quite quick.
Remove the iron and hold still for a moment, then let it go.
If you put enough on the board, then it will spread out a touch.
Obviously, try and get it to look like the other one.
Also, when you put the board back, don't do the screws up fully, that hold it in.
Put the battery in and then nip the screws up, that way you have minimum pressure on the terminals.
