done all that, and was really unimpressed with them and there deals, i would look on ebay, but have no clue what is a good one

the trouble with a lot of "clone" systems, you never get the quality and performance of an oem machine given the same spec.

whats your budget and whats it being used for.....you will get a far better machine by building from scratch rather than an off the shelf machine.

are you doing anything with images or media...ie films etc
a bit of net browsing? downloading?
what sort of software are you planning on running on it.
when you say must have loads of space do you have a figure on what you class as loads?

ok guys thanks for the info and offers

its going to be used for home business and storage of files for jobs, which need to be kept or on disc etc, multi widows on tut net and upload of documents. needs to be quick, wife says 2 to 3 processor, 2 to 3 gig ram 150g hard drive. budget including screen key board etc £500
