flew from brum to stuttgart.
first class cabin train from stuttgart to nuremburg
cos we left it a bit late cost about £200 travel.
fligths were the pain.
train only cost £50 first class RETURN!!!
and its a solid 2-3 hour journey!

went last year for the saturday got to see linkin park a bit of manson hellyeah but thebest acts for me where slayer and necro
Booze price was 3.50 per token = drink. Tax rises are a killer.

Download 08 was really good. Here are MY oppinions on the event.
Kiss were a class act, and lots of fun, but they have kind of cheated us in a brilliant marketing ploy by leaving our Crazy Nights and God Gave Rock and Roll to you, funnily enough they are touring next year!
I love the offspring, and they didnt dissapoint, it kinda sucked they had no backdrop or pyro though
, but it was a party atmosphere and i had a massive smile on my face.
LostProphets were ok, they kind of tried too hard when they came out of the gates roaring, and it took them a couple of songs to get into it, however i think the sound guy is probably getting the sack today, where i was standing the bass was way too loud, and the drums were non existent.
Biffy Clyro - i saw these at leeds and they were fantastic live but at download they sucked. The singer was quite clearly drunk off his face and used all of his concentration on staying upright.
Disturbed - Cool and they had magic sun bringing powers
Pendulum - Lots of fun, yeah it all sounds the same (me and my friend sang that chorus for propane nightmares over most songs). But they drew a massive crowd and it was a big party. Ash would have been dissapointed when they walked out and saw like 3 people left afterwards.
Wildhearts -. Good stuff, shame they cut their set, nearly inciting a riot, Ginger is so funny. Really liked them.
also good mention goes to Seether who were great, and within temptation.
In Flames were ok if you like that sort of thing, i dont.

All im going to say that it was BLOODY FAB
but im suprised as i wore paintball pants thinking maybe some paintballers might come up and say hi but no not one where were u all????
