Whats with DM8s?

im PORBABLY wrong here, but i heard some where that dye have moved to japan or china so poeple may not be buying them as much.

this is what i heard form SOMEONE else.

or maybe they just like them so much no one wants to sell them, i think thats why.

I have seen some DM8s recently and they performed pretty shockingly.

That said, once working, they shot beautiful like any dye/proto.

They have opened up an office in Taiwan I think.

I think the problem is that their is alot more Eclipse sponsored/supported teams, and peeps that (somehow) get the guns at lower than retail. So they come up as new, so everyone and your grandma has one.

Dye has very strict MAP pricing, and you only get a price break team bulk buying.

You can make Dye guns very efficient, you just need a upped/modded bolt.

I played a game or two with a mates' DM7 - are there any changes other than no eye covers (which saves what, 1/8 oz?). His DM shoots great, prefer my A1 but its a nice gun. As J@mes says, they're just less willing to throw them at every team who ask nicely - Dye teams seem to be just that, wear Dye head to toe (i3's, core gear, packs, locklids, even cleats) and Dye team jerseys have very little customization. They take on a few teams but go to town on them. So there's less teams shooting dye's and therefore less kicking around.
