tippmann question, worthy?

hi everyone, i have an old tippman 98 custom which i am willing to give to one of my mates to use as his first marker for sup'air

my question is, if he upgrades the barrel and the trigger is the tipppy 98 worth anything or absolutely useless in this fast paced world of tournament paintball

pretty much useless mate, unless he's planning on using it for anything more than a few walkons or rentals / woodsball You'll be wanting to upgrade to an electro

nope, not necisarily, my mate enters tourns when we need him with his A5, last time he took out most of the other team for us.

tho weather a 98 would have same sucess i doubt, if your looking at sup air seriously then 98 decent starter, but electro if you want to do realy well

if i were him i would get an ion. or if he dosent want an ion a vibe, but believe me tippy 98+ sup air = big nono

indeed the pmr's are only 150 now and they are great starter guns

any marker is better than none. tippman 98s are great fun there is no maintenance required can be run off air or co2 and never break.the only reason they are not widely used is because its a mech marker. they cannot keep up with the electro markers that tourney players use. id rather have a tippy than an ion less to break
