my ego 8 was sort of spiking to f*ck was last week now , the shots randomly ranged from just rolling out the barrel to 120fps all the way to 1bout 290fps

i have since cleaned it and changed a few orings but anyone got any ideas that could of been making it do this that i may have missed as i have no air to check

have you tried altering the dwell or/and anti bolt stick??
and have you checked the battery??

yea new battery in it

nope never played with dwell its set at 12.5 i thought that was pretty high
whats anti bolt stick ?

check lube on reg and LPR,
then check rammer and rammer housing for debries.

bascially anything that could interupt or restrict the amount of air coming through the gun, spiking is normally a reg problem...worst case is a noid problem

reg cleaned and lubed reg lpr and rammer and housing
basically cleaned everything
just wanna make sure it will work without using any air as i have none

forget about bolt stick, its not a problem egos suffer from.

its most likely to be a problem with the seal on the top of the inline piston, remove the inline from the gun, separate the 2 halves, then look into the top part you will see the spring and the silver piston, that piston should have a small rubber seal sat on top of it.....my guess is that its missing.
if that is correct you need to contact planet to get a replacement.

Dude...I did a couple of 08's the other day, and one problem I noticed was that the LPR Seal had come off.

But, on the aluminium inline, all it had was like evostick on the end of it, no black rubber seal?

I spoke to Rob but he didn't mention if that was how it shopuld be, other than it was new and different.

Gun worked allright tho.

the lpr one can also come away but the inline one is more common due to the adjuster hitting it directly.

the older models had a black rubber disc on top, where as the newer ones have a milky/white/clear seal.
