i found the moment i totally dis-assosiated paintball with any type of "shooting" or "war" and saw it more like... football or any other sport... then the game became 10 times more fun for me, i even became better at the game as my tactics changed etc...
which is why i could never be a scenario player where they get propper into war style situations... no offence to any scenario players, just my personal opinion...

but this is why you will find im very anal when people talk about "shooting" or "paintball guns" or something, i always correct them and say "marking" or "paintball markers"...

sorry, lil rant there :p

but yeh, i do shotgun/.22 rifle shooting just to keep pests down at a local farm (as ive lived in the middle of nowhere my whole life its pushed on me) but not a real fan of shooting in general, i dont target shoot, rarely touched an air rifle and i will only shoot an animal (regardless of what it is, rat.. whatever) if im confident it will be a clean kill.

wow, ive realised how girly i actually sound now... yeesh :S lol

i was in the Army Cadets too, this played a part as to how i got into paintballin but not the only reason. i went to a local paintball site on my 13th irthday got hooked after the first game and was back once a month ever sice. then on my cousins stad do we went to the same site and i seen a notice advertising for marshals so i applied and got a job. then seein DV8 train and asking 'what the hell is that all about' i was told about the sup air side of things and was invited to a northern Storm training session on sunday and ever since then i was well and truely hooked and couldn't and still cant get enough of the sport. and thats how i got into it reli and have been lovin the toruney side of things for just over 3 years now and the sport in general for nearly 8 :)

i've always been into guns, started with bb guns shooting mates in my garden, ahd crossbows air rifles, pistols the lot, tried my hand at skeet shooting and shot rifles from .22 rims to 7.62's over 2000m, but paintballs gotta be the most fun for me, either that or pokin the missus :D

WTF has kids got to do with it ? my kids go on this forum! so whats going to happen ? its not a specific gun or firearm, its just a background question. This is a misunderstanding many people have is when a kid reads about or sees a gun on a video game or tv he/she will go on a killing rampage. im not too sure on that one m8 :)

You have missed my point....

Rubbish - paint is bullets, pods are clips and paintball guns are Uzi's, AK's or Railguns (with the odd barret light 50 for the one-shot, one-kill sniper/snake guys out there).

I've never shot anything like a real gun and have no interest either (been held up at gunpoint once, years ago and that's the closest I've ever got to a real firearm).

Lucky - was that Totten'Nam or Dagen'Nam?
