yeh the pendulum effect makes sense, never really though of that before!

to add something else interesting to sound (only really applies to speakers) if your clever enough and know the maths, you can make a tiny speaker do anything. (boxplot pro is a computer program that helps too :p) but last year at donny (modified car show) with our business being expected to wow people, i produced more bass than your average car audio system and hit 130db with a single 4inch speaker and 130watts... just because i designed the box perfect for the speaker!

this is why i call the people that fit home audio/club audio cheaters :p because they can make a box any size they want, however with a car, your a slight bit more limited!

also a little plug here... if a nightclub event called "Valve" comes near you, i seriously suggest you go... they are loads of ex car audio geeks that have built THE perfect club audio system! lol

As someone who spends a LOT of time in sound studios, let me just say that all this brown noise (not note) and all the rest is a load of crap.

Thanks.
The lady parts bit isn't. Why do you think, that "humming" is recommended:D

Speaking of such things. I had an offer through the other day, that gives me X% of of any GM Group car.

As such, I can get 5% off of a Hummer. So it looks like it's only gonna cost me £50,000 to get a Hummer, finally the chance I never thought I would get since marriage.
Do you think the voucher will work at other places that you can get Hummers?

:D

Yes, the humming is a load of crap too. It's not the sound that does the trick. It's the vibrations of which the sound is a by product that do the work. Your comparison to the stimulator is flawed, as the stimulator ads a vital extra ingredient: Contact.
That humming thing only works at certain minimum volumes and there is no specified frequency. Just play a low noise at a loud level and voila. In the same way (some) girls get off from riding a motorcycle.

I never stated anything about sound, that was the others and their Brown noise bunk.:D

I would have thought that you knew what I meant and that I wasn't suggesting that the sound did anything, further more, that I am aware that "sound" is only relevant when vibrations cause the bones of the inner ear etc to convert the vibrations to electrical impulses, which in turn, are interpreted by the brain.

So yes, clearly, I am fully aware that a deaf girl, could be equally impressed by a guy humming on her bits:D

Motorcycle (something large, throbbing between their legs), or washing machine on spin:D

Stimulator wise, contact only makes the effect easier to achieve, with less effort. Obviously, to hold said stimulator near, but not touching the body, would have little effect than to annoy the neighbours, but...speakers, with sufficient power, will be able to apply the effect of each cone excursion, to the air and this air movement and pressure change, will have a similar effect.

since theres not long left of the weekend, i have a relatively simple question for you guys to answer, i just want to know how much common knowledge it is...

in most military peices of kit that talk back to you (i.e. Jet Fighters, Helicopters) with the old "pull up" or "target lock" style sayings... why are the voices mostly female...?

think about it :p

is it so pilots could discern between the computer and a collegue (as there aren't as many women serving?)

or could it be the frequency is higher so they are easier to hear?
