kat ,

I understand about traveling probably more than anyone on these boards about having to drive to practices on your own or on the train . if people just wanna play paintball as a hobby , thats fine , however if you wanna get as far as possible its worth missing the odd event and playing at the local field you will get so much more out of it .

if you are on your own trying to make a practice and you local field is a an hr away, then if you book your train ticket in advance its a fraction of the price .If your traveling with friends in car this is a lot less,Kat this is not a personal dig at anyone in particular, just the simple fact people are quite happy to spend over 100 quid to play events and then complain about the state of the game.

Edit , Kat a lot of sites are willing to help people out getting to and from the station . I know Rob does this and Markie C used to do this with the Northern Quater .
Yeah I apologise for sounding like I was having a go. :) I just mean if I've ever not been able to go it's been for a reason and I always have made the effort to support a local site (which we did every weekend for about a year...) so I completely agree that when possible people should do so, but at the end of the day it's each to their own and a personal decision.

Here's hoping no sites have to close down. :)

I feel you there Kat. If I had it my way I'd be out training with my team every weekend with paint. I devote ALL of my money to paintball, and most of the guys I play with do the same, but we can only make it work once a month for paint training if we're to support the Uni league by showing up to their events. To quote Simply Red, money's too tight to mention....I'm talkin 'bout money money
