Hi everyone

Im interested in getting myself into Paintballing and taking it seriously as a hobby and joining a team/club. Only done it a couple times, 2day being the 2nd and It is great :D hard to think of any other activity I enjoy thats better then it.

Sooo a little bit abit myself.

Names Mick Hayes, I'm 18 and live in Huyton, Liverpool.

I just want to know the basics really so If it sounds in my price range Im willing to give it a go  What am I going to need to do/buy to get into it.

I tried looking for some local teams, only team I managed to find was TPB and I was told by a member that they are not very active at the moment :(

So if there any local paintball clubs/teams/events I should know about that would help me get into paintballing, not just fun day activity stuff.

Thanks for any info and help I get ;)

Hi mate :) WELCOME :D

First off get yourself some good goggles :) the rest of the kit can wait but good goggles will make your day a lot better :)

Second what do you want to play? wood's or sup'air? get your self down to a couple of walkon days and ask if you can have a blast of there guns most ballers will be more than happy to let you have a go :)

take it easy dude :)

Biggest tip you can get is don't go and buy the a really expensive gat as your first. There are some really good ones going brand new for 120 quid but like e-whore said try before you by ;)

Oh and welcome :)

Hey mate and welcome ... as said before goggles are most important peice of kit you will buy then you work your budget around them lol (i have a friend who has a pair of blue proto axis goggles for sale fr £25 if you want them).. Kit wise for gun i reccomend a second hand ego or etek.

Happy balling :)

Welcome dude! Goggles (worth repeating lol) and if you're really committed to playing sup'air then it might be worth saving money in the long run by buying a mid/high end marker (etek has been suggested and I'll agree they are the bomb :D) so you don't find yourself wanting to upgrade 6 months down the line. Mainly, don't worry too much about your kit, just play and have fun!

I have only ever played woods before mate, been watching a few vids of sup'air on youtube n it does look good, but I think im a woods kinda guy haha.

That got me thinking tho... I have the idea that its only really like the organized paintball thats in the woods. The type that it just a day out where u pay a price, £35 or so get given a gun, overalls and around 500 paintballs.

I hope not tho, someone please tell me that actual clubs/teams play woods too.

The only thing thats holding me back on buying a marker and some gear is the idea that there isnt really any local places for me to go, the only one I have been told about thats within an hours drive or maybe a bit longer, is a training place in Manchester ran by a fella called Mark.
