Really Kat, you can't just go "exclaiming" yourself as soon as someone mentions Knobs, it's not lady like...you should be a tease, like many of the women that live down my way...

Looks like a Ferruginous Buzzard, similar to our common Buzzard; but the native Canadian and North American species. (Or a immature common Buzzard)

Oh, and for anyone whose jumping onto wiki, the pictures on there are of the whiter, and more photographed females. There are a few bloodlines bred in the UK that are turning more chocolatey; either through cross-breeding, or just the fact they've been here since we first went over to the US of A
