BAD TO THE BONE
This is unfair . I’m 15 and i have the ability to fluctuate between two styles of writing, Why write in extended English that, firstly waist time secondly will never be seen again and thirdly there is nobody to mark your sentence or in most cases examine for errors.
To write in Txt speak and alike in open forums shows that you are uneducated, lazy or both.
It is not a waste of time to write as well as you can It shows how your brain process's the information that it holds.
Who do you know is reading these boards and how they interpret how you have written. Potential sponsors, employers, all of whom will expect a certain level of literacy.

It's one thing to speak oraly in slang. It's another to write it.

Think about this: A word to the wise is a waste of time. It's idiots that need the information. :D;)

What's you being 15 got to do with it? I'm 14 and I find it perfectly easy to write in proper english with commas and all the rest of the punctuation needed. I may be a "Chav" but I keep that to my "Chav" friends. Speaking to people who may even be your future team members, showing sponsors you can't be bothered to download a spell checker is, in my opinion, lazy and foolish.

hence I don't log on to MSN unless absolutely necessary. Scrotes, the bane of our society.

And without offending any of the 13-16 year olds here, is there actually any need for this age bracket in paintball? realistically what do they contribute? to young to go away to milleniums etc etc and unless mummy and daddy are exceptionally wealthy, they certainly won't have the financing to support themselves.

just a thought.....

I don't think there's anything wrong with text speak in it's place. On a text.

But good English is just good manners on a public forum.

I just humour people on msn, can't see the need in being too mean, generally just trying to be friendly (if excruciatingly annoying).

I should probably stop that.
