Hi Guys

Just wanted some advise I bought an 08 not to long ago when it arrived I aired it up and it was leaking so Bad I had to send it back, I got it back a few days later and have since played one day with it, I have now found that the reg has a fault and needs to be changed (a factory default) I have now powered it up as I'm wanting to go play a walk on and the display on the lcd is all skerewed (anybody know why this happens?)this gun cost me a good few quid what should I do keep sending it back or ask for a new one

You sound very unfortunate, I have already put in the region of 40boxes of paint through my 08, and it has not let me down. Phone Stoney at planet, he will certainly help. Have you tried the obvious like putting in a brand new Duracell Procell Battery?

Try a new battery mate and if that doesnt help it may be a fault on the board. You do sound unfortunate to have these problems. They wont just send out bits as they will need to log all faults, serial numbers etc so they can stop these faults happening again (if it is a fault) Always use good batterys!!!
You can email Nicky T on:
nick.t@planeteclipse.com
he will certainly help :)
As for the leak, sometimes they will leak until the rammer seats. This is done when you fire a shot so best bet is make sure there is no paint in it, turn it on, turn your eyes off, air up and fire a shot. That should seat the rammer and stop the leak. It shouldn't need doing everytime but sometimes the rammer doesnt seat.
Try that and give Nicky a shout

Thanks guys I have spoken to Stoney and the guys at PE are very helpful it is just very frustrating sending a new gun back and forth. I have tried a full charged battery ( I know that you shouldnt use re-charges but this all I have at the mo) I will get a new pro cel and check if that does the trick.

I got it in November been away for a month for work now I'm back and have a chance to play and it is giving me probs, I have just got a new battery and the display is still not comming up properly could this be a fault or is there somthing I can do to sort this out ?

still seems to be working i.e trigger pulls still showing but only half the screen is visible I don't have any air so I cant check if it fires.

Any ideas would be great!!

im guessing that the fault you mention you had to send it back for was a replacment swivel as part of the recall?

i would advise you phone on monday about the board, however i think that the rechargeable battery is the cause of the problems there, they have been known to fry boards before due to them often outputting a lot more than 9.6 volts and it states in the manual:
"Battery voltage MUST NOT exceed 10 volts. Some 9 volt rechargeable batteries can exceed this voltage if over charged. If in doubt DO NOT use rechargeable batteries."
however being the nice guys they are is im sure that if you ask to speak to Nicky T or Robert (tech guys) they will sort something out to get your marker working with minimal fuss.

Thanks, the problem with the first send back wasn't part of the recall it was somthing else, I did check the battery output before slipping it in (voltmeter) it was just under 8V the battery that came with the Gun is also still ok at about the same 7/8 V.

So not sure what the problem is as the gun has hardly been used maybe two boxes of paint through it, if that, so maybe I have just had bad luck.

I will give the guys a call on monday and as always I'm sure they will be more than happy to help.
