I've recently succumbed to the (eggs are slow)dark side and purchased a Halo B.
It was a bit tricky to turn on but I sorted it,stripped, cleaned, much better.
The issue I now have is that the red indicator light flashes up when it's run with no balls in it,put new batteries in it x 2.
At the same time the red light flashes up there seems to be a weird noise from the motor, nothing too untoward but at the same time, coincidence?
Any Halo tech's help....cheers.

is it flashing green -- red -- green etc etc?

If so it would appear to be jamming. If so take drive cone out, check spring is in the correct position, replace and try. Same problem? Pm me.

Check that the power wires are going to the right hand side as you look at the hopper with the board end closest to you and that the eye wires are on the left.

Gimme a pm if that dnt help and we can take it from there buddy.

you taken the drive cone assy apart?

Sounds like you haven't put it back together properly and the hopper is showing a jam
I took it apart because it was making the noise..
Anyway, stripped it again, starting the motor during each stage and finally the motor, with the board and battery connector and yes it's still doing it,it's definately the motor, red light comes on with pulsing, reving up as such,I take it this isn't normal:rolleyes:.

Is it an early Halo A or the later B with the Z code anti-jam mods?

My own Halo B wasn't shutting off & jamming. Turned out the IR sensor was shagged - fitted a new set of eyes and it's working fine

Bring it to High Wycombe on Sunday, and I'll loan you my spare whilst I fix it.
