I think I recall hearing about 2 or 3 reball sites going out of business in 2006.

The money is with the punters.

Sup air sites do have money in them if you have full set up fields... like mellinium fields and proper netted off area, staging etc etc and if its properlu advertised and set up for regular events...
doubt it, even a well provisioned, advertised supair site would struggle to turn over more than £30,000 a year where woodsball sites bring in that much per day.

Oh lord...

Before you look at finding a suitable location,
purchasing or most probably renting the said location,
Pricing and purchasing equipment,
Designing a solid plan,
Writing a solid business plan based on the solid plan,
Looking at the market,
Looking at competition,
Running through cashflows,
Looking at profit/loss,
Setting up business account,
Registering with HMR,
Purchasing Insurance/ liability,
Contacting dealers and manufacturers,
Setting up trade accounts,
Stocking up,
Initiating a rewarding advertising campaign,
worrying about actually getting customers in to cover your overheads...

Ask yourself:
1) Is it worth it just to get cheap paintball gear?
2) More importantly am I about to invest a lot of time and money that I will never see again? ;)
3) And finally, am I the type of person who can make that work (a passion for something isnt always enough, business and hobbies rarely come hand in hand)

Think about it. Good luck if the answer is yes.

did you miss insurance and liability or is it in one of the above items?

Extreme case perhaps, but what does that matter... Turn-over wise, you would still be looking at anything from 30 customers buying 1000balls, upto 200 buying 2000balls, so anything from £1 500 to £20 000 as a pure hypothetical situation :)

That is gross however, profit will obviously be less than that; initial set-up obviously takes time to pay off!
