I'm definately speculating here, but wouldn't it be because a newbie would be more likely to purchase the lesser priced Etek than a new Ego? (unless they were going second hand route of course). Thus it makes more sense for a newbie-specific tourney to be sponsered with the Etek brand.

Thats what I would have thought, as not many newbies are going to buy an expensive ego as thier 1st gat

Only thing is more people have ego 8s than eteks.

Me and a couple of mates may be interested in this but from the sound of u guys it dont sound too much like a newbie tournament but then again no pain no game,i will speak to my mates and get back.We only do recball in the local woods so this will be a first.

we always make sure that teams are pitched against teams that are at the same level as them at first then we move them on to other teams.
Its not a just shoot them up day dude.

Also yes the reason why it is sponsored by the etek is to encourage newbies with the etek range but every one has more money then sense these days
