i have a smart parts ion and was wondering do u HAVE to use shocker lube on smartparts guns. i was thinkin they just said that so you would buy their product but wanted to make sure.

Dye lube and Dow 33 work just as well.
Dye Lube works because dye makes spool valve markers as well so the lube does exactly the same thing.
Dow 33 is reccomended for all spool valve markers (works a dream)

I have some Lithium Grease intended for bikes... Dow 33 is lithium grease.
So I put 2 + 2 together, and my guns have never went down due to lube/oring problems.
Its the cheapo way of doing it. Something like £3 for 300g

they are all dow 33, why do you think sl33k has 3's instead of e's, the only difference is if you buy shocker lube that is called "shocker lube" it is pink not white.
dow 33 is reccomended for all spools and all SP guns, there is usually a big whooha about how it voids your waranty to use anything else but i dont know if there is any truth in that. just use dow 33 and you will be fine, im also working on ways to solve fsdo with shockers, if my cunning plan works ill be impressed

Like I said they are all basically the same thing.....
Why would they be different?
Dye would use the best and as they are all the same thing then it shouldn't make a difference what you use!
