i dont have any myself but that doesnt meen i wouldnt concider it...

a guy i once worked with had a cousin who was a tattoo artist and Jimmy kinda because his canvass, as a result Jimmy had various tats from an ak47 accross his chest to some brilliant tribal socks and made in manchester around his belly button....but it was after a year of knowing him that he said he would show us his favourite tattoo....he turned up at work the next day with a pair of hair clippers and a razor and proceded to remove all the hair on his head...under his shoulder length hair he had a tattoo of a full english breakfast on the top of his barnet! ouch!!!
apparently he only shows it off for a couple of weeks a year then lets his hair grow back!

Well, both reasons are valid IMO
Think I missed the other one. The point i have been trying to make is that you can't really choose a tat based on what other people think. It is a unique thing. So the question originally posted of how you choose your design is a bit weired. I mean you ain't gonna have my name tatted on ya thigh just coz i said so hence the sheep reference.

People have tats for reasons, the early rebellion phase, the first love, the first kid, the marriage, divorce, stoopid words, symbols, anything

The more it carries on the more it becomes clear "how do you choose your design?" something that is me!!!!! or I can live with for years.

I will eventually get off ma soap box:)

Pretty much all the Clan guys have large collections of tats (its a big Scottish thing) and all of us to the man have the embarrasing Warner brothers/disney character or similar somewhere.

It was a rave thing back in the day ...still haven't got round to getting it covered up but it will happen eventually.

The only thing to cover a random warner tat is sponge bob or patrick, Fact

The tribal ones are the ones I understand least,to what do they pertain or signify?
People at work are always on about them if tatoo's come up in conversation;can hardly call themselves part of a tribe living in Slough...
Iam being cynical as to the significance of these...if you had a childs name,a political group or a football team that's easy to understand, but tribal...is that as quoted earlier a flavour of the month..
