I hope not Spike. Nothing against Spain, but the Campaign Cup is part of the UK paintballing culture. Niall, Scutty, Barry and many others have worked their guts out over the years to ensure the UK has an event right at the top of European competition. I hope that the numbers jump up significantly over the next few days. If they don't, we could loose a very valuable part of our scene and that can only result in more damage to the community.

At this late notice though, can any teams organise themselves quickly enough to play the event in time if they weren't already planning to?

I'm very close to hanging up my boots..............

In my oppinion the reffin' is so bad in the millennium series at the minute I carnt justify spending x amount of money on a event just to get shafted, I've been on the reciveing end of some ridiculous calls this season, the refs just seem to be pulling players left right and centre and then giving 2 '4' 1s It just kills the game in 5-man.................

As for not having the players, well, it seems to me that pride is at stake here, sorting out training days is giving me a headache, nobody wants to train against you anymore as they think that they are better than eveybody else, and when you do train, it's the same bull****........."I shot you first" then the big fight starts.........

Brittish paintball will never be as good as our european counterparts!! The truth hurts..............

I agree - what happened to the days of the Mayhem Masters - where everyone was your friend except maybe for the odd dummy spit between the Pred & Nam? The atmosphere at events was so much different.

However that does not address the teams & the apparent apathy issues? The european guys seem to like, for the most, what the millennium provides however I think everyone agrees they can be better in some areas. The Players Union I hope can address some of these issues. So I pose the question....

What do the Brit Paintballers want?

If they don't want to be at the top of the game that's fine but what do they want?

Incidentally I don't want to see us lose the UK event.

On the subject of of number of Brit teams competing? It looks like we're gonna get a pasting from the French & Germans, Especially in the M5 which is where typcially the local teams feature the most. No offence to our fellow Europeans but we cant have the Germans & the French beat us on our own soil boys & girls! National Pride is at stake here!
