What markers, if any, do you consider to be a modern classic and why?

Eg I think the Ego7 because ya da ya da

that is only a for instance, not necessarily what i really think.

Just wondering, do they really make em like they used to?

Ego5 - A combination of speed and reliablility and showing the potential that PE have.

ION - Has effected just about every marker since its release due to cheap price tag and its potential to stand up against almost any marker. I think alot more people would be shooting them if there was the 'noob' stigma etc from other players. I'm not the biggest fan of the ION but it does deserve some respect.

I would have to agree with Bob.

Despite all the stick they receive and the endless plastic spoon jokes, the Ion has changed the face of the paintball marker market.

Since it's introduction marker prices both new and to a greater extent second hand have dropeed in an attempt to compete (not directly i.e Ego vs Ion, Ego wins no contest).

Other companies have now followed suit to a degree with examples being the PMR and the Etek (again not comparing them to an Ion, only the philosiphy of an lower priced marker).

The Ion has helped act as a stepping stone into our sport allowing new comers to purchase a marker that can compete with most others ourt there but still leave them with enough money to buy some paint to use with it.

For those reasons I see the Ion as being a modern classic.

P.s. I don't own an Ion ;)
yes you do, you lieing turtle.

I like the pmr because i think it looks good and very reliable, but i might change my mind in the future when i buy a different gun. This was my second gun my first was a tippmann.
