i would say get the grillz.

comfy, great vision, fully takeable apartable if you want to take the foam out - piss easy to remove the lense, overall an awsome goggle. has foam near the ears to keep ya comfy.

i have never worn the axis though so wether it is better... i guess not:D

The grills are almost 100% practical, theres not much you can say to fault them ...

^^^^ like said above,

but if you want a pair of goggles to make you look kool/pimp/agg whatever colloquialism you want to use, the grills are slightly lacking in that aspect.

depends on what angle you look at them.

however the proflex's are the best choice for "agg/pimpness" just about fully customisable

Flex 8s are awesome, and fast becoming the new e-vent =]
but no i think the grills are too much like the goggles used at the rental sites, especially if you get the ones all in one colour. may be just me and being around that sort of style too often.

Right - I'm not sure where I stand with this - Just got my hands on a grey pair... I've also got a set of white Event's. and the verdict:

Comfort - On par with Event's - both the most comfortable goggles I have worn - certainly more comfortable than JT's I tried. The Grills feel more secure around your face - but the Events are slightly lighter.

Looks - Looks agg... but in a different way to the events. The events now have almost become cliche since everybody seems to own a pair - but i still love the look of mine. The Grills look.. well... Angrier... and less starwars like...

Neat bits - you can remove the goggle frame with the foam attached and just stick whole mask in the bath to clean.

Ease of use - clips off, lens out. easier than events.

Vision - Compared to Events is smaller range of vision - but it doesnt make any difference

Lens - On one hand youve got the fire and blue chrome lens for the events... but on the other you have the Photochromatic for the grills - like transition lenses for glasses changes from clear to smoke!! How cool is that?!

Size - Grills are bigger than events - but i like the fact they actually protect my ears. However the lack of oft ears is considerably less 'agg'.

Comes with chinstrap and peak - both optional, which is nice.

The goggle bag is nicer with the events - as is the case.

I wore grillz to marshall in toulouse and I must say that I do prefer my events to the grillz.

the lens is tiny and I forget what it was either taking the lens out or trying to put the peak on was a nightmare and I had to get another guy on my team to help me..

my events do feel a lot comfier to wear.

if anyone is at Bricketwood at any point or you see a member of MK Storm anywhere come over, have a look or try them on or whatever.

Same with any other kit you see us with - eg the mini.
