05 ego + ramping + uping the bps

hey all this is for a mate whos just bought an ego 05 (Misty's Big Adventure). hes set it to PSP (ramping ? i think) but the highest ROF he can get out of it is 10bps. something were missing here? either a setting for uping the cap to 15bps or perhaps the wrong mode? i think the software 1.00 in the gat.

question 2 : how would u go about updating the software on the board? can u do it via the t'internet or is something u need to send off to eclipse for? THNX AGAIN

is he firing paint through it or is he dry firing

i might be wrong but in sure the 05 is capped @ 10bps if the eyes are off ???

you can change what it is capped too in the settings....it'll be in the Max rate of fire bit.

if it is set to PSP ramping then it will automatically make the max ROF 15 (possibly 15.4 im not sure)
but if it is only firing at 10bps then i believe theres a problem with the eyes.
do the eyes work fine???
normally means there dirty or have had a chop

Its got the the version 1.00 software. It says maximum rate of fire parameter is used to control how fast the ego cycles when the break beam sensor system is disabled. Now when i turn it on the break beam sensor is on and when i put my finger in the chamber ( no air) it registers that there is something there. The max rof is set to 15 bps. Maybe my fingers are too slow lol

May send it to Planet to get the software upgraded, think they charge so will give them a call soon.

hes not firing paint thru it and possibly hasnt got an air source attached

if you keep putting your finger in the chamber and pulling it out does it register that there is something there, and then it goes??
because if they are dirty then they would automatically think there is something in there, so the eyes turn themselves off as they think theres a chop, and fires with the eyes off but capped at 10bps until you manually turn them off

hes just got 11bps out of it so im guessin hes got a sh!tty finger speed.. but then surely on ramping 15bps shouldnt be to hard to reach? i suppose the real test is aired up and firing something other than fresh air
