i lie down and close my eyes before a game - or during long breaks like lunch anyway.

it felt it really helped me - relaxed me and calmed me down - i didn't want sycing up as such it makes me too tense.

do whatever you feel helps you most not what helps other people

I don't make myself sick it just happens..

I have to go off by myself- had a game before when someone had to sit after seeing me be sick it made them feel ill !

the first indoor we played I kept being sick in the chrono bit before you go onto the field - pretty much before every game

just imagine that your opposing team has murdered your family violently, that gets me goin crazy , but i like to save it for the important crucial games

and when you run imagine the T-1000 chasing after you , and you can run faster

Some of you lot are a bit odd and coming from me, that is saying something!!

I see the whole, hands in and chanting thing...yeah...must work...not my thing tho, I would be embarrassed of that!

If your sick before you play every game, you really need to calm down a bit:D

If you imagine that your opponents have viciously murdered your family...you may have some problems when you have a family of your own...I don't think many normal people could visualise the violent murder of their wife and kids for the purpose of playing a game...or for any other purpose...I would seriously worry about my mental health and the safety of my family, if I ever imagined their untimely and gruesome death...sorry.

I've only ever done the whole huddle thing at one tournament and that was guesting for another team. Not my thing at all, sounds cool when the yanks do it but with other accents it just doesn't work.

I usually just drown myself in the moment. Take in absolutely everything around me, the sounds, the music, the players next to me. I run through what I have to do in my head over and over and let the anxiety, worry and excitment build up to a point that I need to hear 'game on'. This begins the moment I step up to the starting gate. It can be minutes before we begin but I just transfix on everything and concentrate on what I am about to do like its a matter of life and death. I go through previous break outs in my mind and reflect on the similar thoughts and feelings from them. Because every pre-game echos the last. It just allows me to build up adrenalin rapidly. When we are about to begin I focus on the head marshal waiting for them to lower their arm or blow the whistle and just ready myself to pounce. It sounds pretty naff I know but it helps my game so much.
