this paintball island stuff sounds like its gone a bit far. i mean a week of paintball in an "undisturbed natural wildlife environment with raw forests, rivers and beaches surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean" is a bit much. i mean surley it presents several logistical and ethical problems. the first of which is...well its an unidsturbed natural enviroment and from the sounds of it quite a beautiful one...so your gunna go feck it up by playing woodsball on it....on an unidisturbed natrual enviroment. Now im not an enviromentalist...bob will agree with this, but what the ****, most definatley not cool. what is that place gunna look like after a week of people hacking through it with jungle knives, making fires, throwing paintball grendades etc, lobbing paint everywhere, littering. **** i suspect is the answer. there are some places that are best left alone, surley we shouldnt **** up everything we touch as a race.
secondly..a "raw forest surrounded by atlantic ocean" sound humid to anyone by chance? of course thats just conjecture but if so, im sure you could expect a perpetually fogged up mask for starters, then kit going down rapidly, oh and rapidly swelling paintballs.
and surley living in your mask for a week would be groutesque...and thats if you just sat about in it. whats it gunna be like after a week, or even after you have tabbed up the side of a mountain, or through your raw forest.
finally, anyone else think this could represent the sport in a bad light. I think this is going to have a large public exposure and alot of people are going to see this and quite possibly be put off by it, or alternativley form an even more negative veiw of paintballers in general.
this all sounds a bit far fetched, and a bit well.....mental. of course...if im wrong and everything ive just said is bull****e...then i apologise, and make this dumb thread of the week. my two nominees to ban with me are bob and haggis 261.
