I would assume that the rule about text speak is for the benefit of others being able to understand what you have written and thus communicate your meaning. If you wish this to be the same in your PM's I'd suggest sticking with non-text speak to save bother. That I know of PM's are not viewed by mods and so it doesn't matter what you put in them.
