If i say yes will you buy it?
It's hard to say, two piece barrels are generally considered to be better than one piece barrels and the Proto barrel (27) accepts the same threads as Dye U/L barrels so would be a cheap way to start building up a barrel kit. So yes, it probably is better than a standard one piece barrel.
Having said that, if you have a two piece Eclipse Shaft barrel, i would stick with that if i were you.
