Help At Dartford This sunday 14th??

basically i bought a bottle and reg off a guy
and when they arrived they were seperated
im not quite an air system tech and after always seeing the madrid explosion i dont want to mess around with it. im worried basically because i believe there might be a lube or something on the reg thread and would jsut prefer to get it checked
is there anyone who can fit the reg to bottle please??

give the reg thread a wipe over with a cloth, making sure the o-ring at the shoulder is in good condition, then just screw the two together firmly.

i dont mind him blowing up
nah its just i always thought they'd be loctited or something
but i was more worried aobut the lube on the reg
but will just wipe off

I've got to ask this, why is there lube on the threads. Is it oil or grease?

not sure what it is but theres something greasy
i only just received it so i dont know
and i know that lube is bad so wanted to check things and what i should do with it
