Most of the problem stems from Councils and do-gooders not wishing to offend anybody. The thing is they do not actually ask the people they are supposedly protecting if they mind Christmas time!! Surely its up to an individual to say if it offends and not a majority of blithering idiots doing it on their behalf. So on behalf of my individual self

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR :p

Grrrrrr, don't get me started on all this crap otherwise I will reach for a Kalashnikov and start hosing some of these liberal-assed, idealistic, middle class, social-scientist pieces of sh!t...
Now now Peter. Stop beating about the bush - and say what you really mean :D.

I think we need to change all the signs at airports/docks etc to "Welcome to Britainistan - the latest Islamic state."

Well, it is going to happen in the next 50-100 years (just wait until Prince Charles - the Muslim wanabee - comes to the throne!).

Now there is a conversion going on of a methodist church to a muslim temple. I wonder if paintball is allowed in the Koran (phonetic way of spelling it - so ner!).

And people wonder why the BNP gained seats in the elections (only to have them taken away from them - after they were gained democratically - think about it...)

Whoops - nearly fell off my soapbox there :p.

Merry what?
Xmas has been used for hundreds of years in religious writing, where the X represents a Greek chi, the first letter of Χριστος, “Christ.” In this use it is parallel to other forms like Xtian, “Christian.” But people unaware of the Greek origin of this X often mistakenly interpret Xmas as an informal shortening pronounced (ĕks'məs). Many therefore frown upon the term Xmas because it seems to them a commercial convenience that omits Christ from Christmas.

bloody hell balloon, for a moment i thought you'd actually picked something up at college or something

but then i saw the admitted plagiarisation (is that a word or did i make up a new form of plagiarising???)... ah well

and yeah, that little e-mail has been going round for years, there is also the same version but with the scrambled up middle letters, that just makes it look even funnier :D (though lets not get into how we read the words, there are about 20 threads on it already ;))
