I wonder if there really are people that walk off the field after getting gogged on the break, thinking to themselves "wow, I really learned a lot from that". I get the scary feeling they exist.

Back on subject, how do you guys feel now that a country that was founded by shipping your unwanted elements to the other side if the world, seems to be showing you the way... Seems like they do pay attention to the words of Pete and others like him. Even if this place caters mostly to the rental crowd, they do get introduced to Sup'Air straight away, making tournament paintball a lot less alien to the first timers.
Reason, ive found training else where

This sort of thing could work. speaking from my humble point of view. since practically running fireball and watching it crash. ( "i diddnt do it" ) :D i saw its main flaws.

location: where and what sort of building it was in and what floor it was on
size: fireball was big enough for 5 players to train. but most times all you got was 2 or three in.
temperature: the building lacked heating (winter) and air con or fans (summer). forgive me but that killed me when i worked there.

thing is i went there near enough every night. worked, trained or played x box. fireball was not an unlucky case. it was a unorganised launch into the training scene. (not meaning to slate bernie/go ballistic) but it was like sending an elephant out onto thin ice.

indoor paintball isnt such a good idea. as quoted it can get messy (note everyone looks very clean at the indoor centre and white walls? are you stupid?) but reball is a good idea. it is just a lot of hassle. and a lot of initial expense with no promise of financial return anywhere within x amount of years. combining something like this with an already successful rec-ball site or xtreme sports centre would be the initial option. ive drawn up plans of an actuall training venue that i beleive may work and i do understand its a near impossibility to get the funding, the site etc. but there is still a chance. but thats just in england. if just for interest sake anyone wants to see my plans feel free to pm me. i personally dont see it happening. would love to see it go ahead thought hence why i did the plans.

go for it extreme indoor. :D hope it works. and as for the brittish ballers that complain so much. you choose to play paintball. so get used to it. and as for those who complain about those who complain are you any better?

oh and no i aint looking for a unified paintball thing or owt. just dont see the point in whining. :)

cheers for reading what could be concidered a pointless post.

er no manners.

Its location was fine. It was in an area that was no more than an hour away from a lot of paintballers. Just because it was in an industrial building is not one of the reasons it didnt work out.

It was anything but an unorganised launch. It was advertised for months beforehand, and a hell of a lot of money was poured into the venture. It was infact a very organised launch into the training scene. They had pro classes from two of the best players in the country - nicky and edwards, but nobody and i do mean nobody, ever turned up although everyone gave it the bugg'un saying they'd be there.

Players also used the facility in the wrong way. They thought they were supposed to go and play games when it was made clear to them many, many times that the whole purpose of reball is to drill, not to play games. Many teams couldn't comprehend this and as such couldn't see the point in it. I have got a comment for that but im sure id offend far too many people.

With regards to your plans. Have you spoke to anyone who is actually in the business? Have you spoke to bank managers? have you spoke to anyone who actually owns their own business?

Bernie had to convince the bank manager to give him a load of money to go and do fireball. The reason fireball failed was because of the apathy of UK paintballers, not because it was an unorganised venture into the training scene.

I would hazard a guess that, even if we did have this facility in this country it wouldn't be used enough to stay open.
