or if you really dont like the ion, you can pick up an angel speed for not that much more and they're pretty good as guns go.

Dont recomend you buy the gat new unless you want to spend big £££- with the amount you're looking to spend pick up a mint condition 2nd hand marker.

good advice

mate for a first gun
ion ion ion
rail rail rail
ion you can upgrade as you go
the rail is already a mean piece of equipment
all the guys are handing out sound advice, but you need to listen.lol
had an ion backup and whenever any of the new fangled guns we've got go down switch over air systems and enjoy trouble free shooting with an ion.
the ion is the biggest selling marker and for a good reason as snoop would say "it's the shiznits".:D

plenty of good sellers with reallly good guns on this furum.
good luck in your gat search.

Bryn has been chatting to me, I think he's on the right track now! He is quite new and has more enthusiasm that knowlage, and has been surfing around reading sales pitches for stuff, basically they are not going to say "our marker is sh!te" are they! The internet can be a confusing place for a newbie! Anyway he is looking forward to coming to train with us and I have said there is always kit available to borrow and try until he makes his mind up what he wants!

I started playing with a group of friends this time last year and we all went out and bought C02 and tippman98 and Vl orions (We play woodsball) thinking they were really good guns! the people on the forums said to get air! we looked at the cost and said no. and thought ION's were to expensive at teh time £260 new.

So to cut the story short a year later were all on air And shooting a mixture from a nexus ego 05, ETek , Ions and a Spitfired angel. and in hindsight all wished we had gone for a ion and air straight off.

For the money You can't beat the Ion and its so simple to fix if and when it goes wrong.

So go for a ION forget the rest. Unless you can pick up a good second hand marker of the forum.

Yeah, a DM5 is pretty comparable to a Spyder... heh

At any rate, as long as you can get an ACS, you should be in pretty good shape
